Family Therapy & Sex Therapy

Do You Want to Be Right, or Do You Want to Be Happy?

Are you tired of arguing about the same topics and expecting different results? If the sentence "They never understand me" echoes through the walls of your home, it means you need a professional "Translator."

Relationships, like an unmaintained house, wear down over time. Often, the issue isn't a lack of love, but rather "Attachment Wounds" and "Communication Accidents." In our clinic, without taking sides or judging you, we clear the "clogged arteries" of your relationship. When necessary, we also medically resolve sexual issues with the support of Gynecologists and Urologists.

What Signals Is Your Relationship Sending?

  • The Silent Scream (Disconnection): You don't even fight anymore. Upon coming home, everyone buries themselves in their phones. You have turned into "roommates."

  • The Battlefield (Conflict): Even the smallest topic (dishes, the remote) turns into a major fight and a digging up of the past.

  • Broken Trust (Infidelity/Lies): A betrayal has occurred. One side is regretful; the other side is angry and suspicious.

  • Bedroom Coldness (Sexual Issues): Physical contact has ended due to lack of desire, vaginismus, or erection problems.

In Which Areas Can We Help You?

1. Couple and Marriage Therapy Re-establishing communication languages using the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

  • Goal: Teaching the use of "I" statements (I feel this way) instead of "You" statements (You are like this).

2. Infidelity and Trust Repair This is the most severe trauma of a relationship.

  • Process: "Trauma Work" following betrayal. Rebuilding trust or deciding to terminate the relationship.

3. Divorce Therapy / Mediation Sometimes the healthiest path is to separate.

  • Goal: Ensuring you can remain civil "Parents" rather than "Enemies," especially if children are involved (Conscious Uncoupling).

4. Sexual Therapy (Vajinismus & Premature Ejaculation) Sexuality is not just psychological.

  • Protocol: First, a Gynecologist/Urologist examination is conducted to see if there are physical barriers. Then, the problem is resolved with behavioral assignments guided by a therapist.

Could the Root of Your Relationship Problem Be Biological?

Our difference from an ordinary counseling center is our medical infrastructure:

  1. Gynecology Integration (Vajinismus/Pain): If a woman says "I don't want to," the reason might be Dyspareunia (painful intercourse) or hormonal dryness. A psychologist cannot solve this through talk alone; a Gynecologist treats it. In our clinic, these two specialists work in adjacent rooms.

  2. Andrology (Male Sexual Health): Beneath a man's anger or avoidance might lie a "Erectile Dysfunction" or "Low Testosterone" that he is ashamed of. Medical treatment brings peace back to the home.

  3. Individual + Couple (Hybrid Approach): Sometimes we pause couple therapy to take the partners into individual sessions (for anger management or depression treatment). A relationship cannot heal until the individuals do.

Wolistic Recommendation "Libido and Energy Support": Sometimes the couples' problem is simply "fatigue." Chronic fatigue, vitamin deficiencies, or hormonal imbalances can zero out tolerance and sexual desire. Before starting couple therapy, we recommend a Check-up and IV Vitamin (Functional Medicine) Treatment for both partners. Couples who are physically energetic solve their problems more easily.

Frequently Asked Questions About Couples and Sexual Therapy

My spouse/partner says, "We don't have a problem, you're exaggerating." How can I convince them?
If you say, "You need to change, let's go to a doctor," they will become defensive. Instead, approach them using "I" statements by saying: "I am unhappy in our relationship and I can't solve this on my own. I need your support; would you come just once for my sake?" Generally, partners who agree to come "just once" continue the process once they see that the therapist is neutral.
Can I tell the therapist a secret that my spouse doesn't know (e.g., a past relationship)?
If you share a secret with the therapist during an individual session that is unknown to your spouse and deeply affects the relationship (such as active infidelity, etc.), the therapist will not keep this secret. This is because doing so would be unfair to the other spouse and would paralyze the therapy. The therapist will support you in sharing this secret, but they will not say it on your behalf. Transparency is a prerequisite for healing.
Will you tell us to "Break up" or "Don't get divorced"?
A therapist is not a judge. They will not tell you to "Get divorced" or "Stay together." Our Duty: Our role is to be your mirror. We take an X-ray of the relationship, showing you both the dead tissues and the living ones. Only you can decide "whether to continue with this picture or not." We are by your side to help you implement the decision you make in the healthiest way possible.
Is the saying "Once a cheater, always a cheater" true?
This is a common belief among the public, but it is not scientific. The Reality: Why do people cheat? Is it out of emptiness, anger, or a search for excitement? If the person who cheated gets to the root of this behavior (through individual therapy) and repairs the void within themselves, they will not cheat again. If the regret and the effort to repair are sincere, the relationship can be saved.
Is snooping through my spouse's phone a mental illness?
I can't stop myself. Snooping through a phone is not a mental illness; it is a symptom of a "Search for Security." Analysis: You are acting as a "detective" because you do not feel safe in the relationship. In therapy, we do not focus on the phone itself, but on the root of that feeling of insecurity. Once trust is rebuilt, you won't feel the need to look at the phone even if it's left out in the open.
Does emotional cheating (Virtual Chat/Messaging) count?
Absolutely. In fact, it is sometimes more destructive than physical cheating. Why? Because your partner is diverting their energy, interest, and emotional investment away from the home. The defense of "nothing physical happened" does not alleviate the pain caused by the betrayal. In therapy, we treat this as a full case of "Infidelity" and work on rebuilding trust.
We are like roommates; the sex life is gone. Can love come back?
In long-term relationships, passion can be replaced by friendship, but the complete disappearance of sexuality (Asexual marriage) is not normal. The Reason: Sometimes the problem is not the "relationship," but "Biology." Low testosterone in men, thyroid/prolactin issues in women, or the use of antidepressants may have killed the desire. The Solution: In our clinic, we first perform a Check-up. Once hormones are balanced, we reignite passion through sexual therapy.
My spouse experiences pain during intercourse and pushes me away. Has she lost interest in me?
No, this condition may be called Vaginismus or Dyspareunia (Painful Intercourse). Even if the woman wants to, her body "locks up." Critical Mistake: Interpreting this as "acting out" or "she doesn't want me" can end the relationship. This is a 100% medical and psychological condition. When resolved with the guidance of a Gynecologist and Sexual Therapist, your sex life will return to normal.
My spouse's family (Mother-in-law/Sister-in-law) interferes in our marriage too much. What should I do?
One of the biggest causes of divorce in Turkey is the problem of "Setting Boundaries." The Issue: Your spouse may be unable to strike a balance between their "Family of Origin" (Parents) and their "Created Family" (You). The Solution: In therapy, we do not teach your spouse to "cut off their family," but rather to "draw boundaries" and prioritize their own home (Developing a "We" Consciousness).
Could my spouse be a narcissist? They constantly blame and belittle me.
The word "Narcissist" is very popular today, but a real diagnosis (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) is something only an expert can provide. The Situation: If your spouse is unable to empathize, never apologizes, and constantly manipulates you (Gaslighting), this is a toxic cycle. In therapy, we work on why you remain in this cycle and how you can protect your boundaries.
Is it right to endure a marriage for the sake of the children?
No. Children deserve to grow up in "two separate happy homes" rather than one "unhappy home." The Reality: Children who grow up in a house filled with constant tension, silence, or fighting often seek out this chaos in their own future relationships. The greatest favor you can do for them is to demonstrate a "healthy relationship model" or a "civilized separation model."
How should we tell the child about the divorce? Will they be traumatized?
Divorce does not have to be a trauma; the way you manage the process is what can create trauma. Method: Without forcing the child to take sides and without badmouthing each other, it is necessary to convey the message, "We will continue to love you as your mother and father," using a unified language. We provide "Divorce Counseling" to help you manage this process.
